2 Pieces, 2 Looks

Call me lazy, call me cheap, but one of my least favorite things is shopping for business clothes. Shopping for casual clothes? I can do it all day.

Work clothes weigh heavily on me as I have always felt they were “stuffy” and too serious. I have fallen in love with some of the pieces MM LaFleur sent me and I wanted to share an easy transition I have done several times now on days when I am at work with clients all day then meeting up directly after, with John for a casual date night dinner.

This Greenpoint Skirt - Chevron Stripe from MM LaFleur is such a versatile piece that I have even worn it to an evening out. Pair this with the all so comfortable and elegant Rowling Top in Birch along with these nude pumps and you are a force to reckon with at business meetings.

Seriously though, in my world of real estate, I find I hold a bit more leverage when I am dressed professionally and put together. I think we all tend to feel more confidant when we are dressed well - no matter where we purchase our clothes from. The key, I believe, is putting the right pieces together to create the “look” you want regardless of occasion.

Using the same Rowling Top, I changed into a pair of skinny jeans, some strappy sandals and tied it together with a belt. So easy, and gets the job done. If I really wanted to change the look, I would simply change the way I have my hair or add to my makeup using brighter colors or adding shimmery eye shadow - basically simple changes.
